The Fish Factory in Worthing has been Highly Commended in the Place to Eat Category at the Johnston Press South Business Awards which were held on Friday 27 September at The Grand Hotel, Brighton with the very best in business turning up to celebrate these awards. The cream of the crop from Portsmouth to Hastings turned up at The Grand Hotel in Brighton to find out if they had won one of the prestigious gongs.
TV star Fred Dinenage presented the awards and said “I love these awards, this event in particular because this is the creme de la creme…this is the battle of the giants! These are winners from the Johnston Press awards all over the South. They come together and find out who are the real champions”.
Everyone at The Fish Factory was over the moon and honoured when we found out we came runner up and had been highly commended in the Place to Eat Category. Tom McCarthy was there on the night on our behalf to accept our commendation. The event was a black tie event with a chance for everyone to get dressed up to the nines and have a well deserved night off, with singing waiters, a casino, a disco and of course the awards, it was certainly a night to remember.
Especially for all the winning businesses, as it was tough competition with nominees spanning across three counties so well done everyone who won. For a full list of all the winners on the night visit the Johnston Press South Events website.
