The Fish Factory was honoured to be asked to judge the Worthing Children in Need Bake off Competition at Lancing College Prep on Friday 14 November. We sent our lovely Executive Chef from The Fish Factory, Stuart Slevin to judge for the afternoon.
Seven classes took part in the competition and all the children (and teachers) were very excited to have a “real” chef there judging their cakes. Everyone went to great efforts with their cakes and it was really difficult to choose winners. £130 was raised for Children in Need and The Fish Factory supplied the 7 prizes for all the class winners.
The Fish Factory is proud to be involved with the competition and pleased to have been asked as we believe it is highly important to encourage young children to be creative and this includes developing creativity in the kitchen. Cooking amongst young children is a growing interest and something that we at The Fish Factory and at all our restaurants highly encourage.
Some of the biggest names in entertainment come together on TV to raise money every year for BBC for Children in Need which raises cash for disadvantaged children in the UK. At The Fish Factory we recognise what great work the charity does and realise that the money raised each year could be going to children just around the corner from us and The Fish Factory and Food restaurants are keen to help our local community where we can.
Pop in and see us soon to find out what else we have been up to…
