For the second year running, Andrew Sparsis and head chef, Stuart Slevin from Proto Restaurant Group were asked to judge the Rotary Young Chef competition and the winner was Jack Bowden from Durrington High School. This competition was open to all secondary schools in Great Britain and Ireland in search of the Rotary Young Chef 2010. Young Chef 2010 encourages students to show off their creative culinary talents by preparing a healthy three-course meal for two for under £5.
Jack will now have the chance to participate in the finals next April and the overall winner of the 2010 competition will receive a cheque for £250, win an amazing trip for two to Tuscany to visit Filippo Berio’s olive grove “La Traversagna” and sample the delights of Italian cuisine.
Dinner at Jack’s tonight then! If you can’t get in there, then call us at Food restaurant in Worthing on 01903 227780, or The Fish Factory restaurants in Worthing on 01903 207123 or Littlehampton 01903 715000. See you soon!
