It seems that Masterchef is gripping the nation and that cooking is the latest craze ā which is a good thing!
If you didn’t know about the Rotary Young Chef Competition, where have you been? This national competition (sponsored by Filippo Berio Olive Oil) is aimed at schools although any student under 18 may enter, and is designed to encourage kids to demonstrate their culinary skills in menu and budget planning, sourcing and purchasing ingredients, hygienically cooking and serving a healthy two or three course meal for two.
The Worthing heat is being judged by our very own Andy Sparsis and Stuart who is the head chef at The Fish Factory. This competition is in it’s second year and the next round is on Wednesday 4th November. After this, the winners and some runners up from the District event will go forward to a Regional event and from there to a prestigious National final.
All we can say is: Watch out Masterchef!
