The Fish Factory is now entering it’s 13 year supporting The Fishermen’s Mission. After all these years we have been very dedicated and heavily involved in helping out in every way we can. Proto Restaurant Group and The Fish Factory support the mission the best we can to help the UK fisherman and their families that have been injured whilst at sea.
The Fishermen’s Mission has launched Christmas Cards for 2014 and we are pleased to be selling them in all our restaurants, Food & The Fish Factory Worthing & Littlehampton. The cards sell for £5 for a pack of 10 and all profits will go to support the work of The Fishermen’s Mission. If you would like to purchase some of these Christmas cards, please pop into Food or The Fish Factory.
“The Fishermen’s Mission fights poverty and despair in our fishing communities by providing emergency and welfare support to fishermen and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Over 13,000 men and women work in the UK’s toughest and most dangerous peacetime occupation: deep sea fishing. At sea, they face death and injury on a daily basis. On land, many face insecurity and debt. And life for the 50,000 retired fishermen and their dependants is no better, with debt, inadequate pensions and scant savings meaning no respite from hardship once the fishing’s over.”
Any help is gratefully received and we at Proto Restaurant Group urge you to help out any way you can so if you would like to purchase some Christmas cards please pop into our restaurants. If you would like to help out via The Fish Factory (207123 Worthing), (715000 Littlehampton) or Food (227780), please get in touch.
