In just twelve weeks the UK Street Velodrome will be back in Worthing. The Worthing Street Velodrome is a three-day cycling event that takes place in July every year and cyclists of all levels are welcome to the event to take a spin around the world famous Olympic pop-up track. This year the event is scheduled over three days in July from Friday 1 July until Sunday 3 July inclusive.
The pop-up track will be set up just off Worthing seafront in the grounds of the Beach House and entry to the Street Velodrome is FREE and there will be a chance for local cyclists to join the annual bike races. This event ticks all the boxes if you are looking for a fun and active weekend out with the whole family and over the three-day event, as well as cycling activities, there will also be an area of children amusements. As a partner of the UK Street Velodrome, Proto Restaurant Group will be supplying the food and drink in the form of a catering village. This year we are teaming up with Papa Pitta to deliver an exciting bar and food concourse.
The catering village doesn’t end there… we will also be bringing along our mobile catering van The Fish Factory Boutique. Across Sussex our restaurants have made quite a name for themselves and they have become the go to place for amazing British fish and chips. Our team are honoured to take a trip down to Worthing beach to deliver great fish and chips for the Street Velodrome.
Also, the catering village wouldn’t be complete without a bowl of our famous seafood paella and we will also be serving up some excellent paella over the three days cooked with locally sourced fish from our seafront.
Also to add to the excitement a local company Domluca will also be in attendance offering some of their finest Fairtrade coffee so if you are a coffee lover its a must!
