On Wednesday 23 March The Fat Greek Taverna had some very special guests in the house. Our arms were wide open to welcome the under 11’s Worthing Raiders rugby team. We invited the team along to a presentation evening where Andrew Sparsis (founder of Proto Restaurant Group) presented the team with their new rugby kit and this new rugby kit is proudly sponsored by Proto Restaurant Group.

We were also very honoured that Bob Smytherman, Worthing Town Crier and Sharon Clark, Town Centre Manager also attended, as well as  a number of proud parents who joined us at The Fat Greek Taverna for the presentation evening. After the presentation and a short photo shoot the whole team tucked into our traditional Greek pittas. Our wood ovens were turning out pitta after pitta throughout the evening as the celebrations got under way and even the parents joined the Pitta Club for this awesome new chapter for Worthing Raiders.

Andrew Sparsis and Proto Restaurant Group have always shown an interest in supporting our local community and this is just one of the many things we do to show we care…

We wish all the under 11’s Worthing Raiders the very best of luck in all future games, so look after your new kit lads as you carry the Proto name out onto the playing field.  Make us proud…
